PROGRAM NOTES
One of the effects that I have experienced while living through a pandemic is a sense of being trapped in a stagnant environment. Time began to lose its purpose, fading into a blur. What day was it? What week was it? This pandemic gave me the time to think beyond myself, in places far beyond my situation. I noticed a common thread, as I imagined solitary confinement and how a criminal’s sanity could slowly slip away, rendering them helpless and broken, like a tiger in a cage. Reality often becomes distorted and lost behind the walls of confinement. A ubiquitous imprisonment.
