PROGRAM NOTES

Three Sweet Serenades is a composition for solo viola that depicts serenity within everyday life. The piece consists of three short movements, each evoking a different feeling and character,  alluding to the environment, city life, and the spaces in between.

 

I. Evening Serenade - peaceful, serene

II. Bar Serenade -  folk-like, more energy, quirky, playful

III. Morning Serenade - calm, lyrical, soothing
