PROGRAM NOTES
Gibbs Fanfare was written during the 100th anniversary of the Eastman School of Music. Throughout that year, many centennial fanfares by Eastman alumni composers were programmed at the school, however this work alludes to my own personal experiences as a current student there, including a plethora of memorable moments and stories to share. The piece aims to evoke a sense of admiration for Eastman and for all of the music and passion that fills and surrounds Gibbs Street.
