PROGRAM NOTES
“Water Fractals” is a work that depicts a never-ending symmetrical pattern of flowing water. Within nearly every phrase, there is a repetition of faster to slower motion. These small gestures are extrapolated into a larger scale, which is the entirety of the work itself. While this process is ubiquitous throughout the work, the entire piece outlines this orderly motion, as the piece gradually calms down. Throughout this process, the piece aims to represent the sounds of water flowing and the unique shape of droplets.
